My Skincare Review feat. Fifth & Root

During the long, much deserved break this Labor Day Weekend, I decided to indulge in a little self-care. I checked into one of Houston’s swankiest hotels, layed out by the pool and treated myself to a 5-star dinner. Later in the evening, I gave myself a much needed facial using vegan skincare products from Fifth and Root.

I started my facial by applying the Moonlight Cooling Glow Mask. Which is an infused clay mask with turmeric, CBD, Prickly Pear, and Cucumber. All combined to smooth, reduce irritation and redness while detoxing the skin. I let this mask sit on my face for 10-15 min, then rinsed it off with warm water.

Next, I used the Karmic Cleanser which is this really cool powder to foam exfoliating cleanser made of CBD, Ground Hemp and Crushed Jade. This cleanser purifies and brightens the skin. I just poured a little of the powder my hand, added a few drops of water, and rubbed my palms together to activate it into a lather. I found this cleanser to be really granulated so I advise being careful with how hard you massage it onto the skin. After applying the cleanser, I rinsed it off with warm water.

Lastly, I used the Second Nature Calming Facial Moisturizer which I’m totally in love with because it’s super lightweight and not greasy. This moisturizer is full of terpenes and CBD Full Spectrum Extract which soothed and hydrated my skin.

The Fifth & Root skincare line gets a rating of PRETTI DOPE! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in clean beauty products made from natural ingredients. The purchase point for each item is a little pricy, however, totally worth buying.
